Busy, Busy, Busy

Things have been crazy lately. The group has been so busy we have had no time to relax and are all very exhausted. We went and played a pickup soccer game against some Brazilians who train with our friend Josemar. Our team had a difficult time keeping up with them because of how fast the Brazilians play. Once the kids start training with Josemar I think they will get back into the swing of things. We have also started teaching English at the capoeira community. We had four kids and one adult come to learn. It was a range from five years old to 30. It was a good turn out and hopefully we will get more people to come next time. Laura and Melanie were the head teachers but they got all of our team involved in helping the community learn. We brought some school supplies that was donated to our mission and everyone who came to the English lesson got their own notebook and pen so that they could practice. Overall things have been going well so far and the group is really starting to fully get immersed into these communities. Over the next three weeks, I'm sure everyone will keep growing in their relationships with the people of Brazil.
